UNIVERSITIES IN NIGERIA THAT DO NOT REQUIRE JAMB | SCHOOLS THAT DO NOT USE JAMB

1. National Open University of Nigeria

Firstly, the National Open University of Nigeria is a university that accept people without JAMB and also people of all age categories. The School has its campuses in major cities round the country. Also, applying to NOUN is very easy. All you need to do is make payment to their online portal and fill in information of your desired program and results and all other requested information. If you meet their O level requirements, you will be granted admission. You do not need JAMB

2. Universities with JUPEB

Secondly, this is another tertiary educational system that avoids JAMB. JUPEB makes it possible for people to get admission into the university through direct entry. This program is active in a number of formidable Nigerian Universities.

If you are successful in your JUPEB program, you will start your university education proper from 200 level. To register for JUPEB, you must have 5 credits in your O level. The JUPEB program lasts for only one year.

3. Universities with Interim Joint Admission Matriculation Board (IJMB)

Also, this is another popular tertiary educational system that avoids JAMB. It usually runs for one to one and a half years.

Furthermore, universities with IJMB include:

  • Ekiti state university Ado–Ekiti
  • University of Agriculture Abeokuta Ogun State
  • Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka
  • Abia State University Uturu, Abia state
  • University of Ilorin.
4. Foreign Universities

Foreign Universities also do not require JAMB to grant admission.  In addition, all you need is your WAEC or GCE and other external exams.

5. Private universities

Finally, Private Universities operate by their own rules and directives, so they do not require JAMB for admitting aspirants. If you do not want to write JAMB or you missed out on JAMB, a private University could be another option for you.  Moreover, all you need is your WAEC or NECO result and also a huge tuition fee.
